Community matters at Houston Airports. Our Community Relations team creates and implements ongoing outreach programs that expand community and business initiatives while cultivating public, private and community partnerships. We understand relationship building and giving back to the community is good business.
Our mission is to support the Houston Airports vision and goals by fostering relationships, promoting awareness, engaging and educating, building support for all our airports, and enhancing the impact of the airport system in the greater Houston area. To this end, we are charged with identifying external resources, monitoring and improving key relationships with area chambers of commerce, civic and special interest groups, homeowner associations and economic development agencies.
In addition to hosting airport-related events, Community Relations supports the numerous communities throughout the greater Houston area by participating in select industry and aviation related community initiatives. This involvement includes staffing exhibits and publicizing events that complement our airports' activities and helping increase awareness of the Houston Airports community outreach and educational programs and services.
Community Relations maintains a strong presence with chambers of commerce and community/civic associations when it comes to current issues and proactively addressing concerns of the community at large. The Community Relations team represents Houston Airports at various local chambers of commerce and community organization functions to foster relationships and partnerships with our community constituents.
